Fixing the Oscillating Weight features a series of collages that form haphazard relationships between multiple images presented on one surface. Poetic relationships emerge when picture images are appropriated, collaged, digitally re-photographed, and displayed as photographic abstractions. This work re-assembles visual materials to create imaginary spaces within a single photograph that act as mirages that address contemporary dissonance.
